In an illustrated book the text and the artwork compete for the same page, and the layout decides which one wins on each spread.
We plan the book as a sequence of spreads first, marking where a full-bleed image lands, where text takes over and where the two share. Image resolution, colour profile and bleed are checked page by page. For books going to offset print we can supply a colour-managed file with the profile your printer specifies, so what you approved on screen matches what comes off the press.
