Genre-aware design
Covers follow the visual cues readers expect in your genre, then stand apart from the shelf.
Book Cover Design
Expressive, minimal covers for poetry collections and chapbooks.

Service introduction
Poetry covers often work best when they suggest a mood rather than illustrate a single poem.
We explore imagery, texture and typography that reflect the voice of your collection, keeping the design restrained and considered.
Tone
Poetry collections rarely benefit from a literal image. What they need is a mood, a texture and enough restraint that the reader brings their own meaning to it.
We tend to work with fine typography, paper texture, hand-drawn marks or a single abstract element, and we leave space rather than filling it. Small press and self-published collections often print short runs on uncoated stock, so we adjust contrast and ink coverage for the paper you are actually using rather than for a screen.
We work with poets and small presses in the United Kingdom, United States, India and South Africa. Send us your project details and we will reply with questions, an approach and a quote before any work starts.
